FOX VALLEY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
STATEMENT OF FAITH
Fox Valley Christian School is an evangelical ministry of the First
Baptist Church of McHenry, Illinois.  Although, we are Baptist by
conviction, we strive to adhere to the biblical fundamentals of faith
that are common to most evangelical churches.

We believe:
  • There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and
    eternally existing in three person:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • Jesus Christ is true God and true man, conceived of the Holy
    Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and died on
    the cross for our sins.   He was bodily resurrected and
    ascended into Heaven, and He will return in power and glory.

  • Salvation is by grace, not works, through faith in Jesus Christ
    as personal Lord and Savior.  His sacrifice on the cross is the
    only provision for salvation.

  • Upon salvation, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit through
    which the Christian is eternally saved.

  • The Scriptures, Old Testament and New Testament, are the
    inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God and the final
    authority for Christian faith and life.

  • Literal Heaven and Hell, and the resurrection and final
    judgment of men by God, face their eternal destination based
    on their response to Jesus Christ while living in this world.
